you can craft a slick electronic or digital signature with a transparent background in Photoshop. No need for a printer - just your signature on a white paper.
Start by signing a white paper, then snap a pic or scan it. Open the image in Photoshop, crop it to focus on your signature, and head to the channels panel. Select the red channel for better contrast.
Adjust the image's curves by going to Image - Adjustments - Curves. Holding down Alt (or Option on Mac), slide the right slider left and the left slider right, until black artifacts appear. Hit OK.
Now, Ctrl-click (or Cmd-click on Mac) the red channel thumbnail to select the white areas. Invert the selection with Ctrl+Shift+I (or Cmd+Shift+I on Mac), then turn off the red channel in the layers panel.
Create a new solid color adjustment layer for your signature color, and there you have it! A digital signature with a transparent background, saved as a PNG.
Bonus: Change your signature color on a white background as you please.
