So, recently Russia and YouTube have been in a lot of drama: Russia has been threatening to block YouTube and YouTube banned Russian propaganda and Russian media. Recently Russia started slowing down YouTube inside the country, and it seems like Google is done playing: they just announced the shutdown of all Russian Google AdSense accounts. This essentially means that Russian YouTubers will no longer be able to get monetised. And even though I left Russia 2 years ago, this DOES affect me - I still had a Russian AdSense account this entire time. So, what is going on? Is this the end of YouTube in Russia? Let's talk about it!
