Blum Center Program: Staying Healthy - Sex Differences in Heart Disease
Although historically considered a “man’s disease,” heart disease is the leading cause of death in men and women alike. In this presentation from February 1, 2023, Dr. Colleen Harrington reviews the epidemiology of heart disease in women, differences in heart disease between women and men, unique sex-specific risk factors for heart disease in women, and special considerations for promoting female heart health.
This program is a collaboration between the Maxwell & Eleanor Blum Patient and Family Learning Center and the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center at Mass General.
