In a perfect world, people would understand each other just by looking each other in the eye and nothing could create confusion between them. But in the real world this does not happen, therefore we have to find ways to communicate requirements in a compact and solid way to avoid failures. Today The most widely used format in agile environments is user stories, better known in English as the famous User Stories. In this video we are going to talk about 3 steps to follow to create a story, and the 5 basic elements that every story must contain.
I want to establish the scope of the video, today we are going to talk about what is a user story, not what is a non-user story, NON-User stories are stories that are not written from the user side, for example, a SPIKE story (also called research stories, or technical debt stories, or non-functional stories focused on improving the backend of our digital product.)
Ron Jeffries CCC .- Components of a user story
™ Letter: So far, the user story has to be taken as a simple conversation promise, it is not a story until the 3 Cs are finished
™ Conversation: This is the meat of the story; the dialogue that is carried out with the users; recorded notes; mockups; documents exchanged.
™ Confirmation: The acceptance test criteria that the user will use to confirm the story is completed
I am going to leave this infographic in the comments of this video so that you can download it in high definition and use it with your teams, in return I only ask you to leave me a comment with a topic that you would like us to present on the channel related to scrum.
Finally, I want to close with a phrase that a colleague once told me a long time ago "When you really want to finish a story, you will discover some way to do it ... when not, there will always be an excuse waiting for you."
