I teach you how to put a transition on your clips in DaVinci Resolve 19.

This is a common mistake that noobies make and it's solved simply by trimming your clips. Keep in mind that you only have to trim 30 frames worth of footage to place a 30 frame transition. (If you want the transition in the middle, trim at least 15 frames of both clips. If you want the transition on the right side, trim 30 frames of the left clip. If you want the transition on the left side, trim 30 frames of the right clip.) Any transition longer than 30 frames, let's say 45 for example, you would have to trim 45 frames worth of footage. And then apply the notes in parenthesis depending on what side you want the transition on.
