Gospel reflection for Holy Thursday 1 April 2021. John 13: 1-15
Deacon Isaac Fransen from the Hamilton diocese leads us in lectio divina. In the Gospel reading, we reflect on Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. At the time of Jesus, the washing of feet was only done by the lowest of slave in the household. By this very humble act, Jesus gives us an example to follow. "You call me 'Master' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am. · If I, then, the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also should wash each other's feet. I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done for you"
Who are the people today that we need to "wash their feet"?
