LARP Explained: Unlocking the Adventure 🛡️ | Slippery Rock-Con 2019 Presentation 🎤
In this video Maxx shares his presentation from Slippery Rock-Con 2019 about "What is Larp?". Slippery Rock-Con is an annual convention that was held this year at Camp Bucoco in Pennsylvania. The convention supports the Slippery Rock Public Library. It has table top gaming, board games, miniatures and larps as well as cosplay contests and vendors, various talks, presentations and workshops. If you are able to, I highly suggest checking it out.
This talk is meant in no way to be an exhaustive list of larp styles or genres. And these are my sentiments only regarding categorizing larps. Because LARP is such a massive thing, they is still much gray area that makes even simple categorization difficult.
The talk attempts to widen the thought process on larp and discuss larps that are less known and to paint a big picture of what is out there.
If you have never larped before, or are only familiar with one style of larp, this is a good video for you. It is very high overview, but informative.
