On day 5, my #students have to do the complete #workflow once with shot plate, reference shoot, 3D tracking with After Effects, and look development with #Blender.
This time with a filmed clean plate in the #Medienhafen, #Düsseldorf. We also use a simple #smartphone here, filming "problematic material". Despite the typical problems, the material can be tracked surprisingly well and without much effort. But in this case, there are additional details that need to be taken into account. Such as the uneven ground, which has to be roughly recreated from the result in #AFX via various reference planes so that the #car will match and not float. And there are other nasties that are not solvable in the 6 hours of the #seminar: The reflection of the car in the window facade. The students learn that even the seemingly simplest tasks must be well-planned and can deliver surprises without experience.
