Personalized Questions and Story Re-tell with Picture Talk
Personalized Questions are one of my favourite parts of the class. During this unrehearsed, zero prep time of the class, we talk about what is happening and we get to know each other better. I use language that they know and recycle the new language we are currently learning through the weekly story.
At the beginning of this video, you will see PQ time. You will also see how I review the story we finished a couple days before, using a ppt with pictures. After I finish a story (it usually takes two or three classes), students illustrate it. Some of them draw it, others do a ppt. I use some of their ppt to re-tell the story as a class. They already know it, so I am just going over it again.
These are first year Spanish students.
