The History of Lite Brite - 1967

Lite Brite was a genius concept. It’s also still really popular thanks in part to the Netflix Series Stranger Things that used Lite Brite in an episode. Lite Brite was an idea that came from 3 Chicago toy designers. Burt Meyer, Marvin Glass and Henry Stan. They were in New York City for the 1966 toy fair and were in awe of the colorful window displays. They thought it would be pretty impressive if they could design a toy that mimicked that same colorful light display. Today we'll take a look at the history and evolution of this popular toy, created in the 60s but has lived on through generations.
