Rule Preview
This video reviews the rule preview feature. the rule preview displays a table of products that will be transformed by a particular rule and you can review the transformed values in this table too, without having to compile the feed.
Let's take a look and see how it works.
Here i have a rule to calculate sale price, subtracting five dollars from the price of all of my products.
Simply click the preview button to run the rule preview. After a few seconds the table with all products included in this rule will load. You can use the search bar here to search a single skew or comma delimited list of SKUs.
Remember this rule subtracts five dollars from the values in the price field to generate a sale price... so check out the twenty five dollar price of this product here in the table and then scroll over to the sale price field and you'll notice the calculation in this rule is correctly inputting twenty dollars as the sale price so I know that no further changes need to be made to this rule and I can click the x to close the preview.
