Hello Guys, this is the forth video of the tutorial series how to upload an images in the #FirebaseStorage and then how to to store the downloadable link into #Firestore database.
In this video, I have created a method for uploading the image into firebase storage along with coding in which I have save the downloadable link into Firebase Firestore. Then I have created a method with which you can get the extension of file.
In the first part of the video I have created the object of the Storage Reference and Firebase Firestore, then I have initialized these two objects.
In the method of uploading the Image I have used Upload Task class and then put File method to upload the image into Firebase Storage. Then when it successfully upload the image into the storage then I have used the Firebase Firestore to save the downloadable link.
To store the extension of the image I have used the object content resolver and Mime Type object inside a separate method and then got a Uri from this method.
I hope that you guys will learn something out of this video. Keep learning and keep sharing.
