Robyn Exton is the woman behind HER, the world’s first and largest community of queer women. In 3 years, the app has reached a global network of over 3 million individuals across 55 countries.
Before Tinder became a hit, and when Grindr was the most popular dating app for gay men, Robyn realized there was a big gap in the market for single lesbian, bisexual and queer people. She wondered... "Why has no one ever built anything properly for women?!” 🤔
Robyn started doing research, took night classes to learn how to code, and immersed herself in the tech community in London - where she grew up before moving to San Francisco when HER launched three years ago - after being backed by Y Combinator.
HER mirrors the way women meet and talk in real life, with a social space for group conversations, shared content and an easy way to connect with others about the things you care about most.
