In this video I make a self watering pot. This pot relies on legs that sit in water to transfer water from the reservoir to the planter. I make the planter, then the reservoir and the legs all thrown on the pottery wheel. Then I attach the legs. Once fired I plant and try it out by filling with water.

The RECTANGULAR PROFILE RIBS I used for this video worked very well. Get yours here: https://amzn.to/3y0nMGk
The YELLOW RIB featured in nearly every video has been with me for years and I use it for shaping, refining & compressing. I would never want to be without. It's hard to loose... and it just carries on. Along with my wheel - this is with me for the long haul!
I would strongly recommend it here: https://amzn.to/467QQID
