Trouble in the Mexican Boozer 🇲🇽
We arrived in Cuetzalan smack bang in the middle of their yearly festival, lucky us.
Our day started with a traditional breakfast before we hit the busy market streets buying some locally grown coffee and home made booze.
Today we were also lucky enough to see the danza de los voladores, an ancient ritual performed by people in this region that takes balls of steel to take part in.
By this point we were bloody starving so we hit up a little comedor for some proper typical home cooked food that really hit the spot at a quality price.
Next door was a busy little pulque bar so we headed in for a few drinks and made some new mates, unfortunately on the way out we had a rude encounter with some locals demanding we give them money for their drinks...
Cuetzalan is a lovely little town but during the festival it was way too busy! 🇲🇽
