How I Quit My Job To Be a Full Time Artist
This is one of the biggest decisions of my life and as I write this I am reflecting on the last few years and guess what.... I STILL don't have it fully figured out! But despite the heart ache, lack of logic, anxiety of the change and continued feelings of stress and imposter syndrome, I know that making the leap to becoming a full time artist is now something i will never regret not trying, and thats all I need to drive me further into this adventure! I know that my position is somewhat unique, but to quit your job in any profession to follow a passion and go it alone is a huge deal! So if you are considering doing the same please leave me a comment o tell me your story, I would love to hear it!

My key takeaways to make the leap and follow your passion:
1. Realistic mindset - Be objective about what your new life will look like, Fully vision the hardest parts and be ok with it!
2. Financial stability - Most people build an emergency fund of 6 months worth of living expenses.... I tripled that to 18 months! Some might say overkill, but I wanted true flexibility and the financial freedom to explore new avenues without fear of needing to go backwards.
3. Plan for success - You don't have to write a diatribe but try to get something on paper! Whether its a small business plan, your life goals in general or even if you just make a mood board with some photos, having something to refer back to to remind yourself of your vision is crucial in my opinion.
4. Moral support - As I said I don't care how independant, confident or successful you are (by definition I am all of those things), having people behind you that share our vision, even if from the side lines just gives that extra motivation that no self help book or pod cast can even remotely step to!
