Welcome to the fifth video of the BOEL Answers series about Archangels, Chakra and Sefirot.

The first question was raised in the comments section of our pentagram tutorial video from Magick Power. Although the pentagram has five corners, we'll explore its connection to the four cardinal points in this ritualistic context. Join us as we delve into the elements, angels, and sacred beings associated with each direction:

In the East, we encounter the Holy Man, Archangel Rafael, and the element of Air. Rafael, the healer of God, is assigned to the Sefirah Tiferet, which embodies beauty and splendor.

Moving to the South, we encounter the holy lion, Archangel Michael, and the element of Fire. Michael, meaning "Who is like God," is assigned to the Sefirah Hod, representing strength, power, and courage.

In the West, we find the holy eagle, Archangel Gawriel, and the element of Water. Gawriel, the Mighty One of God, is assigned to the Sefirah Yesod, which encompasses the theme of foundation and stability.

Lastly, in the North, we discover the holy bull, Archangel Uriel, and the element of Earth. Uriel, the Fire or Light of God, is assigned to the Sefirah Malchut, representing everything manifested on the material plane.

Please note that these assignments pertain specifically to the ritual context. Tarot assignments may differ, so it's important not to conflate the two. Our work primarily follows Qabbalistic assignments within the BOEL practice, while other traditions may have alternate approaches.

Additionally, we address another viewer's question regarding invocations and assignments, focusing on the elements attributed to the cardinal points and which holy beings are called.

We then delve into the subject of Qabbalistic assignments and the relationship between the sefirot and chakras. While Keter, meaning crown, can be likened to the crown chakra, there are differences.

Furthermore, we discuss how the sefirot differ from chakras in terms of usage. Sefirot work primarily on the astral plane, employing sound, colors, and imagination, making them safer for Western practitioners. Eastern techniques often involve direct manipulation of the etheric field and physical body, usually under the guidance of a teacher in a controlled environment.
