The Malabar Giant Squirrel (Ratufa indica) is a large, majestic squirrel species native to the Western Ghats of India.
Characteristics:
1. Large size: 35-45 cm (14-18 in) length, 1.5-2.5 kg (3.3-5.5 lbs) weight
2. Vibrant coloration: brown, gray, and orange
3. Distinctive white stripes on face and throat
4. Long, bushy tail

3. Found in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra
