This Simple Dondozo combo is not okay... Monotype Water in VGC 2023!
Continuing the monotype series where I use monotype teams in VGC, but with a twist. I try to mimic what the gym leaders do in Paldea; I'm allowed one off-type Pokemon on each team as long as said Pokemon has a tera-type that matches the monotype I'm using. I decided to do Mono Water immediately after Rock because I really wanted to use this simple beam combo with Dondozo Tatsugiri before Regulation D starts. Simple beam was one of the few changes Regulation C received from Pokemon Home at the start of June, so I really wanted to take advantage of that. I wasn't intending on copying the Kanto gym leader order, but the coincidence is funny so I'm just gonna stick with it for now! Let me know in the comments any sort of fun mono type electric/grass combos you'd want to see used in Regulation D!
