WWF Summerslam 1998 took place in Madison Square Garden, New York City on August 30th 1998. The "Highway To Hell" ends in the main event when Stone Cold Steve Austin defends his WWF Championship against The Undertaker.
SummerSlam 1998 also features the critically acclaimed Triple H vs The Rock Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship. The match was seen as a real breakthrough performance from both men, solidyfing their respectful places as future WWF heavyweight champions.
Elsewhere on the card; X-Pac takes on Jeff Jarrett in a hair vs hair match, D'lo Brown defends his European Championship against Val Venis, and The New Age Outlaws look to win back their WWF Tag Team Titles.
