"What gets recorded in Zoom?" is a question I hear asked a lot. With all the different view controls (speaker vs gallery view, screen sharing, side by side mode, etc.), what you see does not always match what your students see during the meeting, AND it might not match what appears in the recording. This can be important if you are recording online lectures - you want to make sure your students see what you wanted them to see! This video walks you through the different view options in Zoom and their effect on what gets recorded, showing a side-by-side view of the live Zoom meeting window (recorded with Camtasia, third-party screen recording software) and the Zoom recording. NOTE: This video applies to LOCAL recordings. There are some slight differences if you do a cloud recording.
