The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is widely regarded as the perfect sailing package, combining first-class organization, a majestic sailing environment and the world’s leading maxi yachts and professional crews. Since its foundation, it has been the showcase for the evolution in maxi yacht design and technology. The 2023 edition was a memorable one as four days of racing offered the full repertoire of the Costa Smeralda sailing experience – from the strong breeze, big waves and robust sea of the regatta’s initial exchanges to the light, unstable conditions that closed proceedings. At the end of the series of races, the six class winners were: Galateia (Maxi Class A), Bella Mente (Class B), Spirit of Lorina (Class C), Y3K (Supermaxi), Svea (J Class) and Allegra (Maxi multihull). Rolex and the event’s organizer, the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), have enjoyed a close partnership since the early 1980s, as part of the brand’s wide-ranging support for yachting dating back more than 60 years.
