In this Blender tutorial, we're taking the incredible Default Cube's laser creation to the next level by adding extra control to our setup. If you haven't seen Default Cube's tutorial yet, check it out for a comprehensive guide. (Link below)
Today, we'll focus on creating a control system for our laser in the Blender viewport. Or any rotational movement you want, basically. I understand that working with the Align Euler to Vector node can be a bit confusing at first, but worry not! This will guide you through a basic node setup that will make everything clear and straightforward.
The key to achieving this control lies in understanding the Align Euler to Vector node. Instead of manually setting degrees for an object's rotation, this node enables us to align the object towards a specific point in 3D space. We call this point our vector, composed of three channels: XYZ. Moreover, the node allows us to define the axis along which the object should point toward the target.
By the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to effortlessly manipulate the laser's direction very animator friendly, making your animations even more dynamic and engaging. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your Blender skills and gain a deeper understanding of this Look-At Controller.
