Adding effects (eq and compression) to your voiceover audition in Garageband
Here is a video on taking a recorded audition and editing out breaths and mistakes and then adding some equalization and compression to the voice.
Then we share it to our audition folder to send out to the agent or client.
Please note that the sound is coming from my laptop speakers and sounds only as good as they are! I am only using preset plugins for the compression and eq in garageband and tweaking slightly. It is very easy to endlessly tweak the settings.
