"Wuthering Heights" (Heathcliff ♥ Cathy) - remake- Kate Bush
PLEASE READ: (lyrics & dialogue below)- I'm not sure why it's so jittery in places- my original is not like that at all- it's smooth all the way through- only after posting on YT is it like this, so I'm going to give it some time to hopefully smooth out. If it doesn't, I'll take it down and try again...Once upon a time, six years ago, I started a music vids channel and posted my first video here (and my most popular to date). I had just watched the 2009 movie of Wuthering Heights and had to put my feelings to video – this is an HD remake of that video. :) When I recently learned that Heathcliff and Cathy got married (meaning the actors who played them- they met and fell in love on the WH set, were engaged 4 years, and tied the knot last year) I got inspired to do this now instead of waiting until June (my YT anniversary for this channel). I tried to keep it fairly simple, like the original, though I did change some things. I also used clips I have now and didn’t then (the ITV version). Also, with WMM it would glitch and not let me fix errors then that I can fix now with my current program (so happy I no longer use WMM! lol). Symbolism much the same as first vid and follows lyrics of song - Basically, Cathy is singing to Heathcliff from beyond – also showing those events in the past – blended with memories that haunt Heathcliff after losing her – and how she haunts him still- literally. The last clips of their past are dimmed/ faded to show that as time has gone by, the memories have faded, though all of it still haunts him – until, at last, she comes for him. At the end, the ghosts of Cathy and Heathcliff look out the window at themselves as children- as if glimpsing into their past, and the children look up at the window as if seeing a future image of themselves as adults- a sort of eternity soul-mate symbolism, to continue the eerie/ghostly feel of this tragic, Gothic romance…

Cathy- Let me in… let me in … LET ME IN!
Heathcliff – you said I killed you… haunt me then… be with me always
Cathy- Look at you, fit for a prince in disguise.
