While the Debian release team proudly presents the new stable version 12 (codenamed “Bookworm”) of the Debian project, after 1 year, 9 months and 28 days of development, the Debian Security team and the Debian long-term support team said that “ Bookworm ” It is stated that it will be supported for the next 5 years. Meanwhile, following the 2022 general decision on non-free firmware , it is stated that a new archive area has been introduced that makes it possible to distinguish nonfree firmware from other nonfree packages.Most nonfree firmware packages have been migrated from nonfree firmware to nonfree firmware. The system, built on the 6.1 LTS Linux kernel, is Juliette Taka.It's said to come with a new "Emerald" theme. Debian 12 "Bookworm"; Gnome 43 is available with the KDE Plasma 5.27, LXDE 11, LXQt 1.2.0, MATE 1.26 and Xfce 4.18 desktop environments. This release includes more than 11,089 new packages for a total of 64,419 packages, while more than 6,296 packages have been removed as "legacy". Packages are built using the GCC 12.2 compiler, while the LLVM/Clang 14 compiler is also available. In the system that comes with PHP 8.2 by default; Rust 1.63, Glibc 2.36, Apache 2.4.57, BIND DNS Server 9.18, Emacs 28.2, GIMP 2.10.34, GnuPG 2.2.40, Inkscape 1.2.2, GNU C Library 2.36, Nginx 1.22, Postfix MTA 3.7, PostgreSQL 15, Python Many updated packages are available, such as 3, 3.11.2, Rustc 1.63, Samba 4.17, systemd 252 and Vim 9.0.
