Manipur is a state located in the North East of India , connected with its neighbours - Assam on the west , Nagaland on the north and Mizoram on the south.
The reason for being called 'The Mini Korea of India' consists various facts about the manipuri people including people of other North East states as well.
1.Hindi Films and Channels were banned by 'The Revoutionary People's Front' due to which people's only primary source of entertainment at that junction was -
Korean Drama , Korean Movies and Korean Pop Music
The youth specially follows with hair cuts , outfits , hair colors with the combination of dance and music , making it more addictve.
Numerous Korean restaurants found in the North Eastern states like -
Manipur , Mizoram , Nagaland , Assam , Meghalaya , Sikkim
Kpop Idol Groups such as - Lucente , NSonic , Imfact has visited North East India in these years.
The North East People feels much more connected with the North & South_East Asian Cultures.
The reason behind this fact is due to factors like - Physical Resemblance , Traditional Knowledge and Food Habits.
The government of Nagaland brought them for the Annual Hornbill Festival which made the Korean and Kpop Hallyu Wave become widespread in a short period of time.
