Coupled Oscillators A Bit Deeper PTW
This video takes a look at the eigenfunctions (normal modes) of a pair of masses oscillating on an air track. The carts are attached to each other and the air track via three nearly identical springs. By changing coordinates, the eigenfunctions of the system become obvious.
