If you've ever ordered a custom door or are looking into ordering a door, one option you may need to decide on is boreholes. But what are boreholes?
Most interior doors are prepped with a single boor hole. The Borehole is the large diameter hole where the doorknob is mounted. The standard-sized borehole is 2 3/8" in diameter. Through the edge of the door, there is a 1" cross bore that extends from the edge of the door through the borehole. This cross bore is where the latch is installed.
