first thing first, what is xampp

other useful tools which come with xampp are Mercury mail server, phpMyAdmin for database administration,
Webalizer for web server log analysis, OpenSSL, Apache Tomcat for running Java code, and FileZilla FTP server

Downloading XAMPP
go to google, type in xampp and click the first link i.e. of apache friends.org
click the req version according to your system specs/ config
and the download will start
installing xampp
go to download folder, double click the just downloaded xampp setup exe
and setup will start, leave the defult options checked
and it will be installing to your c drive
simple steps and xampp installed
now go to your c drive
there you will have a xampp folder
click on xampp control
now click the Start buttons for apache, mysql, filezilla
once modules started the color will go green
now go to your browser and type in localhost
and there you go, XAMPP is installed
to confirm it further, copy simple php code in a text file save it as .php and put it in xampp folder in
drive
no error and file output confirms xampp installation
