Cannot use import statements outside a module. This common error comes in the newly set up of webdriverio.js projects. To solve this use the following steps -
Step1: Install the below modules
npm install @babel/cli
npm install @babel/core
npm install @babel/preset-env
npm install @banel/register
Step2: set requireModule in wdio.conf.js file
wdio.conf.js : requireModule=[‘@banel/register’],
