Laurel Hedge Planting Guide - £3.66 A Plant ! My Easy DIY Guide
I do love a laurel hedge! Hurry up and grow so I block out my neighbour! I've linked the laurel plants below - what a bargain.
Laurel stands out as an exceptional choice for creating hedges and natural screens. This evergreen species grows rapidly, outpacing all other evergreen hedging plants apart from conifers like Leylandii or Thuja. Thus, if you're not inclined towards a coniferous boundary, Laurel hedging could be your preferred alternative.
The plant boasts sizable, glossy leaves with a vibrant green hue, and come springtime, it is adorned with abundant white blossoms on racemes—a structure consisting of a central stem surrounded by numerous flowers. However, it's worth noting that when the hedge undergoes regular trimming, these potential flowers are often removed. Post-bloom, Laurel bears inedible red berries that mature to a deep black.
