In his lecture series on the Holy Spirit, Dr. Bergsma explains how the Old Testament conceals Trinitarian typology. This is seen particularly in the temple of the Old Testament.
The Holy of Holies was the dwelling place of the Ark of the Covenant, imaging the presence of God the Father. The Holy of Holies was shrouded in mystery and only the high priest could enter in.
The menorah and the table of the bread of the Presence were kept in the Holy Place (which was accessible to the priests). These two things represented the Holy Spirt and Jesus respectively. As the menorah and the bread of the Presence were accessible to the senses of the priests', likewise. the Holy Spirit and Christ are the two Persons of the Trinity that have been given to us.
Regarding the Father- "who is in secret"(Mt 6:18)- only through Christ (Who is also the eternal High Priest) can we come to know Him for as Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him" (John 14:6-7).
