Page speed has been a hot topic for the past few years since Google announced it will become a ranking factor. What I try to show you in this video is that it’s just one of many ranking factors and that there are more important SEO best practices you should follow so that you can rank in Google search.
Don’t get me wrong, if your website loads like it’s the 90s internet… then it’s going to be hard to rank.
But as long as you have a decent score… anything in the 80+ range in page speed insights should be good.
And if you want to test the page speed by yourself you have a few different ways:
1. Google’s Page Speed Insights: https://pagespeed.web.dev/
2. Site Speed Report in Google Analytics
3. Just test it on your phone (mobile network)
So stop being a perfectionist and chasing for that perfect score of 100 and instead focus on other aspects of SEO ranking factors.
