Hey guys, welcome back to NextGenBlogger and in this video, I want to show you how to add markers in Blender. Now it's actually super easy to add markers in Blender. So without further delay, let's get started and see how you can do this. Now to demonstrate this, I've already opened up the Blender software and this is the default interface that you're going to see when you start Blender.
Now to add a marker in Blender, you need to first of all place the cursor on that frame where you want to add a marker. So let's say I want to add a marker at the 50th frame and accordingly I've placed the cursor at the 50th frame. Next you need to press the letter 'M' on the keyboard and the moment you press the letter 'M', a marker will be added at the 50th frame as you can see right here.
Now if you want to change the name of the marker, you need to first of all select the marker. Next, you need to press 'Function 2' or 'f2' and this will allow you to change the name of the marker. So let me write the name of the marker as 'Marker at 50'. Once you're done, simply press enter on the keyboard. Now if you want to duplicate this marker, what you need to do is you need to select the marker.
Next, you need to press 'Shift D' and now you need to move the cursor and place it on that frame where you want to place the duplicate marker. So I want to place the duplicate marker at the 100th frame. So accordingly, I have moved my cursor and brought it at the 100th frame and now simply press enter on the keyboard. Perfect. Now let's change the name of this second marker as well.
So let me select the marker and now press 'f2' and this time let me write the name as 'Marker at 100' and now press enter on the keyboard. Alright, one final thing that I would like to show you is how you can delete a marker.
So to delete a marker, you need to first of all select the marker. Next, you need to press the letter 'X' on the keyboard and the moment you press the letter 'X', you will see this pop up. So simply click on 'Delete markers' and the marker will be deleted. Another way of deleting a marker is by selecting the marker and directly pressing the 'delete' button on your keyboard and this will delete a marker as well. Perfect.
