Xur sells exotic armor pieces, one for each class (Titan, Hunter, Warlock) every week. He also sells a random exotic weapon and two exotic weapon bundles with ornament. To buy exotic armor and weapon from Xur you will need Strange Coins. To buy exotic weapon bundles you will need Strange Coins and Silver Dust.
You can also buy several other useful items from Xur for Strange Coins like Heavy Ammo Synthesis, Three of Coins, Glass Needles, Exotic Shard and Mote of Light.
Xur is in average form this week. Buying recommendation: 3/6.
Titan: ACD/0 Feedback Fence exotic gauntlets - Taking damage from a melee attack deals damage in an area around you. One of the most useless exotics for a Titan, maybe has some utility in the crucible, buy it only to complete your collection.
Hunter: ATS/8 Arachnid exotic helmet - Golden Gun lasts longer, zooms in further when aimed. In principle it is a good exotic, however there are two better exotics for a Gunslinger hunter the Celestial Nighthawk and the Achlyophage Symbiote, so in practice it is unlikely you will ever use this one, buy it only to complete your collection.
Warlock: Starfire Protocol exotic chest armor - Gain an additional Fusion Grenade charge. In addition you can carry more Special or Heavy ammo upon your choice. This is a very useful exotic both in PVE and PVP. Definitely BUY it.
Weapon: Red Death exotic pulse rifle. Each kill hills you and speeds up reloads. This is a very good and useful weapon. Definitely BUY it.
Weapon Bundle: Dragon’s Breath and Tigershark exotic rocket launcher. Release trigger after weapon fire to drop a Solar Damage napalm canister. I can hardly imagine a situation when I’d use Dragon’s Breath over Gjallarhorn, buy it only to complete your collection.
Weapon Bundle: Telesto and Lingering Vestige exotic fusion rifle. Multikills with this weapon spawn Orbs for your allies. Fusion projectiles attach and detonate with a delayed Void blast. Telesto is one of the best weapons in Destiny, it is very good in both PVE and PVP, definitely BUY it.
