If you have a clothes peg at home, then you should definitely know this incredibly ingenious trick. Especially if you have a patio or balcony door, it can really help you.
If you have an older door that doesn't have a decent latch and therefore can't really be closed when you're outside, this trick can really help you.
To do this, you clamp a clothes peg to the inside of the door handle using a rubber band. Now pull the peg outwards and place it across. The door is now firmly closed and cannot be opened again.
Be sure to try it out if you have this problem too!
