Bolshoy Prospekt of the Petrogradskaya side is one of the oldest in the city. It appeared back in the 1730s, and in 1806 received its current name. However, as we know it now, it became only at the beginning of the XX century, after the construction of the Trinity Bridge, which connected the Petrograd side with the city center.
In just 15 years, this area has turned from a sleepy suburb with wooden houses and unpaved streets into one of the most expensive and prestigious areas of the city, the second center.
