In this tutorial, you will learn how to save a frame as an image in After Effects.
Position the playhead to the time that you would like to save as an image. Click on the "Composition" menu, point to "Save Frame As", and then click on "File". If a window pops-up, click on "Save". This will appear in the "Render Queue" panel. Click on the "Photoshop" link next to "Output Module". This will open the "Output Module Settings" window. From the "Format" drop-down menu, select either "JPEG Sequence" or "PNG Sequence". Once you choose, click OK. Click on the link next to "Output To". The "Output Frame To" window will pop-up, where you can give the frame a name and choose a location for it. Click on "Save". Click on the "Render" button to export the image.
That’s all!
