Mechanics of rocket boosters: how it works
New rocket booster mechanics are available on all vehicles in the branch. Let's figure out how this will work.
At the beginning of the battle, the accelerator is prepared, which takes 5 seconds. You will learn about this thanks to the corresponding indicator. After this, you can activate the accelerator with the “X” key.
The duration of the acceleration effect is 10 seconds, and the volume of rocket fuel allows you to use the mechanics from 3 to 6 times per battle, depending on the level of the vehicle. After the last use, the indicator will go out, indicating that the tanks are empty and that boosters cannot be used until the end of the current battle.
When using rocket boosters, the equipment is practically unable to turn, much less drive in reverse. The effect cannot be canceled until one charge is completely used up. After this, wait 4 seconds for the boosters to recharge.
BZ-166 (China, TT-8, pumpable, mechanics: rocket boosters) came out the day before yesterday for the 1st iteration of the World of Tanks supertest.
