Wavelet is a very powerful tool for feature extraction and it is very influential among all singnal processing techniques. Wavelets help to decompose a signal at various levels extracting high and low-frequency components.
We can decompose a signal easily using wavelets in Matlab. However, most of the videos show how to decompose using the wavelet analyzer toolbox. In this video, I have used both wavelet analyzer and Matlab coding to extract features from a signal.
This video clearly explains the use of various functions, their parameter, and properties related to wavelet analysis and Matlab.
