Hello everyone, friends with you, the supreme show channel, mainly we have videos with predatory animals and very few videos with herbivores, so today the hippopotamus is in business, we will not drag it out for a long time, but let's start right away, let's go.

And so a hippopotamus or just a hippo, although in my opinion the hippopotamus is still lighter. Let's take a quick look at the appearance and find out the parameters of our hero. The hippopotamus is a very large animal and ranks third in size among the largest land animals in the world, second only to the elephant and rhinoceros, although in mass it can often compete with the rhinoceros.
Outwardly, the hippopotamus looks like a huge mutated pig with a large head and a mouth in which fangs are twenty thirty centimeters long and at the same time the mouth itself opens 150 degrees, few people want to get involved with this beast.
An interesting fact, earlier scientists believed that hippos are relatives of pigs, but after repeated careful research it turned out that the closest relatives of the hippopotamus are actually whales.

The weight of an adult hippo varies from one ton to two hundred kilograms to three and a half tons. These giants grow all their lives and the body length can reach an incredible 5 meters. The tail is on average 30-40 centimeters, and plays a very important role, for example, it helps to scatter feces on the sides for a long distance, seemingly not a very necessary skill, but in this way hippos designate their territory.
The height at the withers reaches a little more than one and a half meters. Although at first glance these big guys seem to be inactive, slow and even clumsy, they know how to develop a running speed very well, which can reach 48 kilometers per hour, in comparison, the average speed of a person's running is only 16 to 24 kilometers an hour, and even world record holder Usain Bolt holds a record 44 kilometers inferior to the hippopotamus in this parameter.
The natural habitat of our heroes is located exclusively on the African continent, in countries such as Uganda, Liberia, Zambia, Malawi, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique.
