I’ve been crafting a contemporary minimalist mixed media artwork with rich textures and a touch of gold, using vintage book pages to add depth and character.
In this tutorial, you'll discover how to create a sophisticated contemporary piece using mixed media techniques. We'll start by collaging yellowed pages from an old book, further aging them with burnt umber ink to enhance their weathered look. Once the collage is adhered and dried, we’ll apply gesso and sand to build a rich texture, adding depth and dimension. The final artwork will be a minimalist composition, blending various techniques and textures with black and white paint, brown ink, and gold ink. The result is a refined and elegant visual harmony, perfect for enhancing any interior space.
