RACING Thursdays - Ripwave Racing
On this episode of Racing Thursdays, we look at perhaps the most faithful looking retro gaming title I've ever seen. Not only does it succeed in recreating the look of an arcade boat racer, but it recreates a CRT filter perfectly, and it perfectly imitates the look of an early 3D title with soft textures, short draw distance, and digital fog.
There's something deeply satisfying about a racing game with great controls and smooth drifting. It's been years since I played a racing game with any seriousness, and I haven't played enough classic titles. So in this series, I'm on a journey to find the best controls and most satisfying racing experience.
