Legion Tactical Marine Squad: MKV Heresy Armour & Accesories by Forge World Model Review
I currently have four ten-strong squads of Tactical Space Marines wearing a variety of different power armour marks. This is the second review in a short series to look at these different types of armour made by Forge World and their accessories to personalise and enhance the look of the models.
Necessity is the mother of invention and MKV Heresy Armour certainly conforms to this proverb. The necessity of the devastating losses of the Horus Heresy completely disrupted the issue of the sophisticated new MKIV power armour. This forced the crash development of a stop gap armour utilising older technologies, parts and less capable materials. While MKV is forever remembered for it's tragic origins it was nonetheless an effective and durable suit of armour and despite it's drawbacks was the right equipment for the Imperium in it's hour of greatest need.
Legion Tactical Squads are the infantry backbone of Legion forces providing flexible unit sizes and are capable of unleashing devastating volleys of boltgun fire. Whether they are equipped with a Rhino for fast moving objective capture or a 20-Astartes assault team supported by an Apothecary they are highly versatile and effective troops.
