1- Keywords
What is a keyword?
The term 'keyword' most commonly refers to the words people use when they search. This might be a single word or a phrase.
Someone might search using the keyword restaurant, for example:
Or they might be more specific and search for restaurant discount online:
In both instances the word or phrase being used to search is known as a ‘keyword’

restaurant + discount + online
This can be broken down into three core elements:
head | modifier | tail = restaurant | discount | online
The head
Restaurant is the head of the keyword, this is the focal point of the user’s search
The modifier
The modifier is a term which can be interchanged with other words in order to change a single aspect of the keywords meaning.
The tail
The tail of the keyword clarifies or adds further detail to the head term.
Targeting your primary and secondary keywords
Primary keywords are the core keywords or one or two words keywords, which shows the main purpose of the business. While secondary & tertiary keywords are the keywords generated through the core keywords. It may be 2 phrase or 3 phrase keywords.
Primary keyword
Laptop chargers has the highest volume (it’s searched for more frequently) and is the head keyword. This will be my primary keyword.
Secondary keywords
Laptop batteries and chargers and Universal laptop chargers have lower volumes (they’re searched for less often). So, these will be my secondary keywords.
