You don't need fancy stuff to make a nice video.
any times it's just the smartphone since that's usually the camera that we all carry with us. Which is totally fine. But when I know that I'm traveling I love to bring this minimal setup which includes my Panasonic Lumix GH5 and a RODE Lav Link for my phone. With that setup I like to shoot a lot of stuff on the go since the image quality is much better compared to a point & shoot or the smartphone.
