Marta - my story with SMA
Marta is a psychotherapist, married woman and mother of two daughters. Since birth, she has suffered from spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type 2. Despite intensive rehabilitation since early childhood, the disease systematically robbed her of various motor functions. Since recently, Marta has been taking medication for SMA and, for the first time in her life, she feels an improvement in her condition. She looks to the future with optimism and hope.
