Why you should not block out your animation in step tangents
Should you do your animation blocking in step tangents? In this video I'll explain why I think it might not be such a good idea, and in fact doing your blocking with interpolated tangents could make your life easier.
I made a mistake at the end of the video: as pointed out in the comments below, you can get stepped tangents by default in Maya by setting your "Default in tangent" to "Clamped" and your "Default out tangent" to "stepped". I did not lay down poses in stepped for such a long time I have forgotten this.
