How I replaced SP-404 MK2 with free tools (Mac Version) | GAS Therapy #27
I bought the SP404MK2 but hardly use it because of the pad double trigger issue. And I found AccurateBeats also have this issue.
• Roland SP-404 MKII - Four Months Later
Here’s his video link, double trigger happens at 6:07 when he hit pad 15. You can also hear the retriggered pads while the sequence playing back at 6:22, it’s even more obvious. Also it’s pretty ironic that he just mentioned that he got less double trigger issues as time goes by and then deliver a beat demo with clear double trigger issue :)

Crate Digging & Sampling Setting
1. Set computer’s audio output to BlackHole
2. Set recording software’s input to BlackHole
3. Open monitor if you want to monitor
Beat Performing Setting
1. Set computer’s audio output back to internal speaker
2. Set recording software’s input back to built-in microphone
3. Set recording software’s output to BlackHole
4. Set Garageband’s input to BlackHole
5. Create a new AUDIO track then set input to BlackHole
6. Insert whatever plug-in you want
7. Open monitor if you want to monitor
8. Have fun.
Gears doesn’t matter.
